Cold pressed macadamia nut oil is a terrific source of calcium, B complex vitamins, phosphorus and iron. It contains approximately 75% monounsaturated fat. Macadamia nut oil contains the highest amount of palmitoleic acid (an Omega 7 fatty acid) of any plant. Palmitoleic acid is abundant in our skin during our youth, but gradually decreases with age. This fatty acid acts as an humectant and helps to maintain skin suppleness.

Cold pressed macadamia oil reduces wrinkles and dryness of the skin. It is light and easily penetrates the skin, allowing for maximum assimilation of nutrients. Cold pressed macadamia nut oil contains proteins and vitamin E, of which greatly contributes to its skin-care benefits and long shelf life. The high count of monounsaturated fatty acids makes the oil mimic the sebum (naturally produced oil on scalp and skin which protects it from damage). Macadamia oil contains approximately 60% oleic acid, 19% palmitoleic acid, 1-3% Linoleic acid and 1-2% Linolenic acid. And contain roughly equal amount of omega-6 and omega-3.
