Gingergrass essential oil is steam-distilled essential from the leaves and stems of the Gingergrass plant (Cymbopogon martini var. sofia), a tall grass native to India and Indochina, but now cultivated in many tropical and subtropical regions around the world. The oil has a fresh, spicy, and lemony aroma, with a slightly sweet undertone.

It can also be added to soaps, creams, lotions, and other skincare products. It is used as an ingredient in hair care products and in oral care products to fresher the breath.
• Home Care: Gingergrass oil is used as an ingredient in all-purpose cleaners, dish soap, laundry detergents. It is used in scented candles and other room fresheners and deodorizers.
• Pest Control: Once well-diluted with a carrier oil such as jojoba oil or sweet almond oil, the gingergrass mixture can be applied to the skin to repel insects.
• Perfumery: Gingergrass essential oil is a popular ingredient in perfumery because of its fresh, spicy, and lemony aroma.
