Cloves have been regarded as the most venerable of spices since antiquity. In China 266 BC, guests of the Emperor would be required to hold cloves in their mouth when speaking as to bestow a pleasant odor.

Clove bud essential oil is a spicy, intoxicating essence that is popular in many applications. It is favored in dental care for toothpastes, mouthwashes and oral medication due to its antimicrobial, antibacterial and pain-relieving properties. Clove Bud essential oil contains up to 85% Eugenol, the source of its aroma and therapeutic properties.

Note: Clove Bud essential oil can cause skin irritation. Never use full strength and use a maximum dilution of 0.5%. This is a powerful essence, and a small amount goes a long way.

Clove bud essential oil is a versatile oil with myriad of applications. Clove bud oil is an excellent addition to cosmetic applications, personal care formulations, soaps, perfumery, dental care, and aromatherapy.

U S E S

Caution: Do not put Clove Bud essential oil directly on your skin full-strength. It must be diluted in a carrier (either oil or soap) first.
Carrier oil suggestions: Almond, Hemp, MCT, Jojoba, Apricot, Sunflower, and Olive Oils.

Note: Clove Bud essential oil can cause skin irritation. Never use full strength and use a maximum dilution of 0.5%. This is a powerful essence, and a small amount goes a long way.

For Skin and Hair Use: Dilute 0.5% (2-3 drops) of Clove Bud essential oil per ounce of your favorite carrier oil.

In a Diffuser: Add 3-5 drops of Clove Bud essential oil for every 100 ml of water.

Cleaning Spray: Add 1 teaspoon of Clove Bud essential oil to 1 cup of water in a spray bottle. Spray the surface, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe. Shake the bottle well before each use.
