Cypress essential oil is extracted from the younger parts of the tree - the twigs, stems and needles - to produce an essence that is clean, energizing, deodorizing, and full of healthful properties. Cypress essential oil is antiseptic, antibacterial and antispasmodic due to the levels of alpha-pinene, carene and limonene present. It is commonly used to relieve respiratory conditions and help clear the lungs of congestion. Cypress essential oil also helps to fight infections, facilitate healing of wounds, alleviate “restless leg syndrome” as well as cramps and pulled muscles, reduce inflammation, improve circulation and remove toxins from the body. When used in the diffuser or diluted in a roller bottle, Cypress essential oil can also help to relieve anxiety and induce calm. It also acts as a natural deodorizer for the body and home and is a great additive to cleaning solutions.
Cypress essential oil is an invigorating and recommended addition to cosmetic applications, personal care formulations, soaps, perfume, insect repellents and aromatherapy.

Caution: do not put Cypress essential oil directly on your skin full-strength. It must be diluted in a carrier (either oil or soap) first.
In a diffuser: Add 3-5 drops of Cypress essential oil for every 100 ml of water to create a calm, relaxed atmosphere and deodorize the room.
In a roller bottle: Add 1-3% (5 - 15 drops) of Cypress essential oil to your favorite carrier oil in a 10 ml roller bottle. Use as needed to calm your energy throughout the day, treat carpal tunnel and arthritis, to treat restless leg syndrome and cramps. It can also be rolled on and inhaled gently to treat asthma, bronchitis, cough or congestion.
For Skin and Hair Oil: Dilute 1% (5-6 drops) of Cypress essential oil per ounce of your favorite carrier oil to reduce the appearance of cellulite and varicose veins. Apply the mixture to your chest as a vapor rub.
In your Favorite Shampoo: Dilute 1 - 3% (5 - 10 drops) of Cypress essential oil per ounce of shampoo. Lather and rinse as usual.
Cleaning and Deodorizing Spray: Add 1 teaspoon of Cypress essential oil to 1 cup of water and ½ cup of white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray the surface, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe. Shake bottle well before each use.
Insect Repellent: Add 10 drops of Cypress essential oil to 2 cups of water and place in a spray bottle. Shake well and spray as needed to ward off ants, mosquitoes and other insects.
