Description

Tea Tree is a very popular essential oil that traces its origin to the Aboriginal tribes of Australia. For over a thousand years, people have been using leaves of the Tea tree for their strong disinfectant and antibacterial properties. Today, we're able to harness these amazing and unique properties by extracting the essential oil, or true "essence" of the plant to offer a very pure, clean and effective form of Tea Tree's best properties.

Tea Tree oil has many applications - it can be used for topical skin care to treat acne and other skin ailments, for treating fungus and microbes, as an overall skin and hair refresher in the bath, and as a dandruff treatment. Tea Tree oil is also used in hand sanitizers, as a natural disinfectant in household cleaning sprays, and is very popular in atomizers for a fresh, clean scent in the home or office. It has a wonderful green, medicinal, woody aroma.

Blends well with: Bergamot, Clove, Geranium, Chamomile, Grapefruit Pink, Juniper Berry, Lavender, Lemon, Marjoram Sweet, Nutmeg.

USES

Caution: do not put Tea Tree essential oil directly on your skin full-strength. It must be diluted in a carrier (either oil or soap) first.

For Skin and Hair Use

Dilute 1% (5-6 drops) of essential oil per ounce of your favorite carrier oil.
Carrier Oil Suggestions: Almond, Hemp, MCT, Jojoba, Apricot, Sunflower and Olive Oils all work well with Tea Tree oil.

In the bath: once the bath is drawn, add 1 TBSP of the dilution and mix into the water well.

For dandruff shampoo: Dilute 1% (5 - 6 drops) of essential oil per ounce of your favorite shampoo. Work into your hair and scalp, let it sit 60 seconds, then rinse well.

In a diffuser: Add 3-5 drops of Tea Tree essential oil for every 100 ml of water.

Cleaning Spray: Add 1 Teaspoon of Tea Tree Oil to 1 cup of water in a spray bottle. Spray the surface, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe. Shake bottle well before each use.
