A B O U T
Organic castor oil is a therapeutic oil that is excellent for skin and scalp health. It has a tradition of healing dating from antiquity and was known as "Palma Christi" or "The Hand of Christ." The first documented text mentioning castor seed oil is in the Ebers Papyrus, Egypt's oldest medicinal scroll in 1550 BCE.
Ricinoleic acid is found in 90 percent of cold-pressed organic castor oil. Ricinoleic acid, which is found in castor oil, has a variety of anti-inflammatory properties. Castor oil also contains undecylenic acid, which is responsible for the oil's antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antiviral properties. Cold-pressed castor oil's ability to penetrate deep into the skin is another distinguishing feature. This is due to the fact that its molecular mass is low enough to pass through the stratum corneum.
